LIZETTE VOLKWYN

MASTER LIFE COACH | MASER NLP PRACTITIONER | HUMAN LIE DETECTOR & YOUR COMPASS TO GET OVER YOUR MOUNT EVEREST

This is me Lizette Volkwyn: A vibrant individual, Master Life Coach, mom and most of all wife to a wonderful husband and friend.

Julie B Steynberg Country Ambassador DMI-SA writes: When you meet Outstanding Change Makers with this calibre of brilliance and excellence by ‘Changing Lives Making a Difference’; you know you are right on spot with the goal, the Big Dream here in S.A. focusing on touching lives. It is a privilege to introduce to you Lizette Volkwyn: S.A.”s newest Outstanding Change Maker 2019. Lizette is a dynamic woman who is making big waves – to me it was dynamic to meet her in person, she is how she describe herself: “I am the coach that will sign you up, flip your day, drag you up, kick your butt, but most of all get you to the very best of YOU”.

Lizette Volkwyn says: It is a privilege to be part of the DMI-SA Family; the platform that is designed to let Change Makers SA; like myself, have a platform to be seen and to be heard. The message:  to spread the message of hope, growth and development resonates with me. Being in alignment with a global movement and the One Billion Dreams, being part of the Big Dream of DMI-SA underwriting my passion and core values; is a epitome of Life fulfilment.  I am honoured to truly live my life beyond the obvious.

Living a life of completeness, we need to reach out with our congruent messages as one force changing the world with one common goal. Uplift as many individuals to believe in their own uniqueness and value they can bring to the world.

It was my curiosity into the intricacies of the human race that I came to realize that I could make a difference. My understanding and passion to assist individuals to evolve and overcome personal limiting beliefs is only a stepping stone to bring change to a world of Self-Doubt, Uncertainty and Confusion. It is my passion to deliver the message of Self-Acceptance, Uniqueness and the Power Within to as many individuals as possible through individual sessions, workshops, books, public events and outreaches. It is also ‘my believe’ if we can level the playing field on an emotional level, we can create a world of Compassion, Peak Performances and Self Accomplishments.

CHRISTEL BASSON

CO-WRITER TO CARPE DIEM BOOKS| "HARTSMENSE" FACEBOOK PAGE | MEDIA SPECIALIST | MOMSTER | MOTIVATOR RUNNER | STILL SO MUCH TO DO AND BE

This outstanding woman keeps her own notebook of poems written close to her to share with as many as she can. Difference Makers SA proudly introduce to you: Christel Basson who lives in Bloemfontein.
Christel Basson describe in her own words: “I am, as my Instagram account says, a master of ceremonies, a brand ambassador, an influencer and motivator, proud mom, wife, writer, runner, dreamer and believer. I am all of this without any fancy title”.

Christel says: “Difference Makers is an organization that really has the power to make a difference, to influence people around us to the point of us seeing changes in our country as a whole. I believe we should all strive for this as a collective, as the sum of influence is more than the singular attempts.  Lets's make a difference"
@differenceMakersSA.
I have the privilege now to share my story on many platforms; I am privileged to share and be part of this platform of DMI-SA too; a huge thanks to Julie B Steynberg, who is the Country Ambassador of this initiative who started this in S.A. making dreams come true, supporting dreams. As a keynote motivational speaker I also share my story in front of people. I believe that one sentence could change people’s lives for the better if they decide to take the challenge. I share in vlogs on a weekly basis at least on my social media platform just on normal life.
I believe that we all have stories; and that if we are willing to share our stories we would all be stronger. I believe that we all should be living our dreams! I believe in living life to the fullest by living a focused life, with attention to the fact that we are under God’s grace and that any authority that he gives us should be treated with the utmost humble attitude and care. God gave me a strong character, and in my life I fought through poverty, an aggressive alcoholic father and many other challenges. Challenges which I decided to change into learning experiences and victories. All worldly odds were against me, but God’s Grace was more than enough.
As my professional career is in media, I understand the power of media and that it could be used for prospering God’s word. I also realize that we are human and we make mistakes, but if we can get to the point of not being judgemental, we would see a change in our country. To be the change that is needed first and foremost. I believe in South Africa! I believe in the beauty of its people and if I add value to someone’s life by just being me, it feels like victory!

Sezanele Zondi, This woman of worth with the heart of an angel; she is humble, a true philanthropist; an Outstanding Change MakerSA indeed: “Who you are makes a difference Sezanele”. Sezanele has been part of the International known #BlueRibbonCeremony (originated from California). Sezanele says: “I am honoured to be part of the  #GlobalLoveAndChange Movement.  I have met the Ambassador Julie B Steynberg in person at an event, she then nominated me to become one of the Change Makers SA. Knowing the great feeling of receiving a #BlueRibbon l can now help spread the Message of Love, Appreciation and Recognition during Annual events, I cannot wait to let more people know about this Global-Movement-One-Billion-Dreams-in-SA. I know of the most amazing individuals; this is how I can share the love and show appreciation in my circle of influence too. I believe:  this process should be done as many times as is possible; I also believe in empowerment and giving someone a smile because it is through a person that your life can be the change that is needed.
It was an honor to meet the powerful and amazing woman behind the Big Dream: who is CEO and Ambassador of DMI-SA https://www.differencemakers.co.za/sa-founder-julie-b-steynberg.html. This nomination inspires me to continue educating, inspiring and bringing hope. Sezanele is the CEO and Founder of SEZ Foundation an organisation that was started in 2015 after seeing the high rise in teenager's pregnancy, we also saw how young girls were missing school due to lack of sanitary towels and took care of that need. Recently we started donating school shoes to help build self-esteem of a young child. The vision started in 2015 after seeing the challenges in 2014 when my niece who was in grade 12 fell pregnant and the family was told that she must leave school or else we must have someone who will sit outside the class until the baby was born and the boy who was in the same school continued without any difficulties .This event reminded me of how my sister who was doing her first year for medicine fell pregnant and was never taken back to complete her dream. I then decide to take it upon myself and teach the young girls how negatively teenage pregnancy can affect your entire future.

DMI-SA inspires: Be the Change that you want! I absolutely love this organisation. I am Proud to be part of Greatness.

VANESSA BOTHA

MANAGING DIRECTOR: JOURNEY 2 HEALTH (PTY) LTD ||MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER | TAMMY TAYLOR MRS SOUTH AFRICA 2018 SEMI-FINALIST | HEALTH COACH | MAKEUP & HAIR STYLIST | GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR | SLIMMING CLUB OWNER | ANNIQUE HEALTH & BEAUTY INDEPENDENT CONSULTANT

The Country Ambassador: One of 12 World Leaders DMI-SA: International Leader and trainer; Julie B Steynberg personally writes about the greatness that is found in this extraordinary woman in S.A. now the newest Top100 SA Difference Maker: Vanessa Botha: “This incredible high energetic, inspirational woman of worth has a story to tell indeed. She is a mother and a wife; and touch lives where she goes; a Change Maker in a million. It gives me utmost pleasure to have Vanessa Botha on this platform of Change Makers as a Top100 SA Difference Maker. There is no end to her credentials, dreams and accomplishments. I am in awe of the power that one woman has to change and touch lives where she goes; first to change her own life and then to use what is given to her to empower others. To me personally, after reading Vanessa’s real life story and the many bucket lists ticked off in her life, I commend her and within immediate effect awarding her as Top10 of the Top 100 SA Difference Makers. It is incredible to read how this woman has become the best version of herself and how she will do what she can to duplicate herself with others. Vanessa you make DMI-SA proud! I thank the Universe for people like you, it is an honour. I would do anything to introduce you to the International Founder Helice Sparky Bridges who duplicated herself in me with all sincerity being a philanthropist in a million. Together we will do this!”
Vanessa Botha: Notes of Appreciation Believing in the system: Difference Makers S.A. Platform of Change Makers SA
Vanessa Botha’s turning point in her life was when her Dad (59) died of cancer when her baby daughter was only 6 weeks old. She gave birth to her baby while her Dad was dying. “Life hit me hard: I just had my graduation ceremony and my business was growing exponentially; also I was shaken about my Dad; I was hit hard, so much that I could barely breathe. In the toughest time in my life I had to arrange my dad’s funeral too. I knew I had to continue building my business, living my dream, keep on delivering and empowering more individuals. Most of all wanted to make sure that I am the best mom I can be through it all.
Vanessa: “Ghandi said ‘my life is my message’. Together with Julie’s passion to encourage greatness;  I want my life, my story to inspire everyone to be difference makers wherever they are - bloom where you are planted. Thank you Julie for believing in me and I’m filled with joy and appreciation that I can be associated with such an amazing brand.
Vanessa’s answer to the Question (DMI-SA) asks what will you do when 1 million rand is given to you to make a difference was:  With 1 million Rand I would build a rehab centre where I can bring in experts to assist woman, men and children emotionally, mentally and physically with any eating disorder; and to release them back into society with confidence of self control and being able to face any challenge. It is amazing to see how people do better when they feel better about themselves. I want to help more people who need this help and guidance. I believe in a healthy mind, body and soul - when they are in sync - we can truly achieve our true and utmost potential.
My goal is to encourage and empower woman to first believe in themselves; to find their true identity and teach them to turn their challenges into victories; inspiring others to do the same. I’m a wellness coach and I’ve helped hundreds of woman find their inner strength and beauty again - physically, mentally and financially. I’ve walked the journey of having a six pack to obese and back to healthy again. I’ve been through the diet yo-yo effect. I’ve tried all the tricks, diets, pills and quick fixes. I know the emotional turmoil we put ourselves through”.

KATE GROCH

CEO AND FOUNDER OF GOOD WORK FOUNDATION

I am an educator. It is not what I do it is who I am when I wake up in the morning. The Difference makers S.A. Mission and the #BlueRibbon ceremony is a wonderful way to highlight amazing work being done by amazing people all over the world. Often work that goes unnoticed but work that positively changes the world. A big thank you to #Julie Steynberg for her passion in driving this mission; also acknowledging the courage it took to start a Global Movement here in S.A. woman alone; now making more #ChangeMakersSA part of the #BigDream.

I am extremely grateful to have been appreciated and the acknowledgement that was done at an event whereat I was announced as a Difference Maker by Cresseldah Ndlovu, who also is a Top100 SA Difference Maker; and this is what it is, to pay the love forward, from one person to another. Receiving a #BlueRibbon from her is an honour; also was it inspiring to meet Julie, the Country Ambassador of this initiative at the very same event.

It is an amazing honour to have been nominated as a Top 100 SA Change Maker and to become part of the Global dream to let 1 out of 7 people on planet earth receive a Blue Ribbon that says: Who I am makes a difference; we are touched and would definitely want to pay the love forward and honour someone too, someone who touched my life too, especially with what we do at the Good Work Foundation. I love this organization DMI-SA, it is all about ‘Love for all, with no one left out’ as the Founder in S.A. Julie Steynberg teaches all. The work being done by all on this list is really inspiring and it is wonderful to see all the good work being done by South Africans and it is amazing to be a part of a group of people who work tirelessly to make our country and the world a better place; and now to make our projects part of a Global Movement is exciting.  The Good Work Foundation: has Digital Campuses in two Provinces  (Mpumalanga and Free State).

I am often lucky enough to be at rural preschool graduations. All those shiny faces full of potential. I often wonder who is in that classroom; great leaders, caring fathers, mothers, innovative farmers, doctors and engineers; even authors and painters. I also know that if we do not do something to change how these children will be able to engage with education and the school system – we will never know who is in that classroom.

There are challenges in South Africa, challenges that require us to tap into the potential of all young South Africans, not only those who have access to good schooling.  Good Work Foundation was created to do just that. To make sure it does not matter where you are born. You must have access to education in order to reach your full potential.

The Good Work Foundation has so much to offer, go-see more on the website and the social media URL available here.

A Special Note:
How absolutely pure is this!!! Lungi state: I made my choice: “I have decided to never answer a phone call from my past, because it has nothing new to say”. And to "Live to witness the transition between your challenges and the victorius outcome after every obstacle" AND “Nothing can stop my dream of supporting & loving women who need to 'get a few things off their chest”.

LUNGI NGAPHI

KEY-NOTE SPEAKER | AUTHOR | INTERPRETER |
MC| LIFE COACH | RADIO PRESENTER

This remarkable #ChangeMakerSA is born from the streets of Adelaide. There is much to mention about her skills, education, awards etc. “I will do my best to mention as much as I can, she is just an amazing new-comer here at Difference Makers S.A.”(Julie LINK) She has an acute awareness of the importance of self-confidence and strong values and morals. It came as no surprise that she would see the need to pen her life story in an inspirational autobiography titled, “I will sing a new song” which has sold hundreds of copies since its release in 2014 and changed the lives of all those who have been able to touch it, read it and get inspired by it. Lungi Ngaphi’s character includes being an inspiration to many, a highly developed and self-disciplined individual with strong relationship building and networking skills. She is a friendly and enthusiastic listener who has taken it upon herself to mentor and empower those who come into contact with her; especially women. She is a woman of strength and resilience, a fun filled woman of God who is an incredible mother and wife. Her determination is proven in the amount of successes she has had. Once she puts her mind into something, led by her Creator, she will never give up until it manifests. She is bold and not afraid to stand for what she believes in. In all she puts her heart and mind into, she is willing to “die empty” ensuring that her purpose if fulfilled.

Lungi Ngaphi a practicing motivational speaker and published Author; also is she a
Public Relations Management graduate coupled with a qualification in Broadcasting Audio Visual Production. Her incredible gift of motivational speaking has further seen her being invited on television to impart her wisdom on a SABC 1talk show and also led to the compilation of a documentary of her life which was aired on SABC 2 on the 26th of November 2017. This being one of the most monumental achievements yet, as it means that her story has been heard by thousands in S.A. ; and being able to have such a platform propels her desires of wanting others to know and understand that your background should not limit your future desires and has little bearing to who you want to be. She is a former court interpreter and Principal court interpreter she has over a decade of experience in this role which further proves of her high level of professionalism, articulation and a humanitarian in her own right. She is a former radio presenter for Kingfisher fm and “The Wireless Online” radio based in Port Elizabeth which covered the African continent and she also boasts a string of radio advertisements which she still does on a part time basis. She also completed a Life Coach Course through Lens.

Having lost my own mother seven years ago I found myself mourning every October since her passing. I then decided I wanted to celebrate the beautiful women that she was, my rose. I then further cemented my motivational duties by the inception of a movement called Debriefing Session with Lungi Ngaphi & Friends. This is an environment where women are allowed to unpack all that prevents them from living their lives purposefully and with meaning due to limitations, challenge and experiences encountered.

PATIENCE NTULI

PHILANTHROPIST | MULTIPLE AWARD WINNING GOSPEL ARTIST | MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER|PREACHER | COMPOSER |
TEACHER | DIRECTOR FINANCE AT LIMPOPO TREASURY | CHARTERED MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT WITH CIMA HOLDING TWO MASTERS DEGREES, ONE FROM S.A AND ONE FROM LONDON

My name is Patience Ntuli, I am very delighted to be nominated by Julie https://www.differencemakers.co.za/sa-founder-julie-b-steynberg.html the Country Ambassador DMI-SA to be part of this exciting Global Love & Change Management. This is one of the highest call to humanity, a call to make a difference in the lives of ordinary citizens, one person living in poverty is one too many. I am delighted and honoured to be part of the Big Dream - One - Billion Dreams. I feel honoured and encourage to do more and to pass the Baton to the younger generation, therefore I promise to continue to spread the love and appreciation. This nomination as a Top 100 SA Difference Maker is an inspiration and wind beneath my wings.

From the live I lived as a Child of a Widow, I pledged to ensure that: “I do for others what I wished someone would do for me”. I subscribe to the notion that: “You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who cannot repay you” by John Bunyan. I therefore thank the Country Ambassador DMI-SA for such an initiative and for being an inspiration to us all. A special word of thanks goes to Creselda Ndhlovu for making me part of the work you do as philanthropist yourself.  I have learned and experienced that a person who is appreciated will always do more than what is expected, this nomination and appreciation is therefore a loud message to me. I absolutely love everything about this Love & Change Movement I am now part of.

There are many unsung Heroines called: Mothers, our Mothers, my mother. They deserve the praise they get here. A Blue Ribbon belongs on her heart for sure. In my eyes a mother, any mother should be praised, they did good to many, fed many kids who were not their own, looked after their own children while the fathers were working far from home, they raised children as widows and single parents. I am doing this to honor and praise my Mother as my role Model. As a child of a Widow, I am who I am today. I believe being who I am makes a difference.

I was born in 1978 in Giyani from a family of five (3 boys and two girls). I am Married and blessed with four kids, two boys and two girls.

I am a Founder and CEO of Patience Ntuli Ministries, a Non- Profit Company that aims to improve the lives of children in SA and in the world. Our motto is “We are God’s extended hand”. I run a campaign called ‘Adopt A Child’, I call on professionals and communities to “adopt” a poor child, especially from a widowed family or orphaned child. The Adopters provide the child with Tuition, uniform, sanitary towels, school trips fare, lunch box, mentorship and any other gift that the Adopter willingly does. The Adopters send cash to the guardians to buy uniform or pay for tuition. I also run the “Keep a Girl Child at School” campaign, where we provide school kids with sanitary towels. I run a “Buy a pair of School Shoes” campaign, where I supply shoes to vulnerable school kids in both primary and high school, as part of encouraging kids to study as hard as they can I give school shoes / laptops to top learners in High school. The Matric top Learners are enabled a chance to have a laptop to do school work like other privileged kids at University. Due to my educational achievements and my poor background, I do career guidance and motivational talks to school kids especially matriculates. I run projects that aim to cloth poor kids and families, I donate clothes to poor families, I run a project called “Dress the Poor” I take clothes and other necessities to Mozambique to communities which were affected by the Cyclone. I respond to the needs of the communities and partner with others to build houses for the poor of the poorest. I partner with other professionals to provide counselling to vulnerable kids who are under different social challenges like, drug addiction, alcohol abuse, sexual abuse and other social issues like sexual orientation. I run a project called “Feed the Homeless” where I provide soup, mince, bread, blankets, mattresses etc to homeless people in Polokwane. This gives me a chance to understand their challenges and assist.

As a child of a Widow, I am aware of the challenges that women and kids face as they grow up. I hold “Girl Talk” for girls aged 7 to 12 years, we talk about body changes, dating, sexual abuse and human trafficking, etc. I hold sessions called:  “Teens Talk” where I engage on drug abuse, human trafficking, pornography addition, dating, and career path. I hold sessions called “SheTalks” where we talk to Teen Mothers for support, single mothers, single women with no kids, divorced, widowed and the married females. We engage on challenges around Women and also offer support making sure women know that they are not alone and that they have the back of another woman who cares.

My name is Ziyanda Masiza, I am very honoured & delighted to have been nominated by Julie https://www.differencemakers.co.za/sa-founder-julie-b-steynberg.html  the Country Ambassador DMI-SA to take part in this Global Initiative. This is how S.A. will become part of this Global Change & Love Movement, touching lives one person at a time.; I indeed want to be part of the Big Dream- One Billion Dreams! Words fail to express how I truly feel, THANK YOU! I will do my best to help spread the message of love & appreciation. Being nominated as a Top100 SA Difference Maker inspires me to do more!
“With the work I do and feedback received, I have concluded that, indeed, there is congruence between personal mastery & high performance”.
I see myself Standing Strong Together on the platform of Change Makers SA here:
I would like to send a note of gratitude and encouragement to DMI-SA for such an impactful initiative. Thank you to Julie Steynberg who is the founder for this Global Movement starting in South Africa August 2013, she had a dream being on a journey to change the world (starting here in S.A.) with love & acknowledgement to one another.  I believe that all people want is to be seen & loved.  This initiative epitomizes the ‘lift as we go up” slogan. If we are to make a meaningful impact in our society as women, we have to GO TOGETHER.  The women on 09 August 1956 had had enough of the pass laws, they resolved to stand together to shift the system, not only for themselves/their society but for the generations to come.  Here we are today, benefiting from their unwavering resolve, courage and bravery.  We as the Women of the 21st century ought to also stand for something, shift it so generations after us can also derive value from our existence.  Thank you for this platform because it is helping in bringing us together, for there is power in numbers.
“Shift inner, to shift outer”.
Ziyanda M: Her mission is to help others GET UNSTUCK so they can CROSS OVER. The ultimate goal is to have a good (majority) representation of women in positions of authority in our organisations.  At ZiyandaM we believe that Women will Heal South Africa and Africa at large.
I am the Founder & MD of ZiyandaM & Sakhingomso Consulting, as well as a shareholder at InavitIQ Group. I am a ‘My focus’ as a Business Consultant & Coach is in assisting businesses in being ‘smarter’ about the people side of the business. As a public speaker, I share both my personal life & business/professional experiences in order to provoke positive thinking with high impact. My late father named me Ziyanda which means multiplication. The meaning of my name and my purpose became clear to me when I did in depth self development work (self awareness/ mastery).  I began to see the bigger picture of the ‘who I am’ understanding my purpose:  it is to help people crossover and multiply. My native genius is to debunk complex information so others can easily apply it in their daily life.
At ZiyandaM we are dedicated at assisting Women @ Work and at Sakhingomso we specialise in Leadership & Culture, People Engagement & Customer Delight interventions. Why Women: Women leaders have to navigate between the requirements of the work place and personal roles, which at times may be neither easy nor pleasant. Furthermore, gender bias interferes with the development of an appropriate leader identity for women. We utilize a well- researched framework by utilising identity as departure point, and reveal the implications of gender. Women who embrace a more positive gender identity will be less vulnerable to thoughts and experiences that can potentially threaten their self-regard as effective leaders. In the end it is about building gender synergies, so that we can remove gender bias from our organisations and think about ourselves as a leadership community – instead of male and female leaders. With the work I do and feedback received, I have concluded that, indeed, there is congruence between personal mastery & high performance. At ZiyandaM we are about shifting inner (strengthen inner core), to shift outer (dismantle patriarchy & stereotypes), being deliberate about dealing with the enemies within: voice of judgment, voice of fear, voice of cynicism (Otto Charma). We believe that all women, with no one let out will heal Africa, indeed one woman at a time. For that to happen, they must heal first. We are often told to think out of the box, as far as I am concerned THERE IS NO BOX!

BUYISIWE KHOZA

FOUNDER & CEO INQABA YOKULINDA CISCO NETWORING ACADEMY

My name is Audrey Buyisiwe Khoza, I would love to thank Julie Steynberg, Country Ambassador
DMI-SA https://www.differencemakers.co.za/julie-b-steynberg.html for having considered the nomination and contacting me as this made me feel that I’m truly an asset and doing something wondrous thus impact positively to the nation giving selflessly and imparting knowledge and skills. My nomination has filled me with a strong sense of pride and honour to be part of human transforming endeavors. I understand fully the responsibilities of this position and look forward to interacting other Change Makers to create and bring more Change Makers.

I am a single mother of 3 beautiful children aged 19, 17 and 15.  I’ve been blessed and entrusted to be a leader in an amazing organization called Inqaba Yokulinda. I am a social activist with my heart rooted in developing, empowering and uplifting youth and creating leaders. Leadership is a journey that is mostly epitomized by one’s ability to serve, and for one to serve, you need to first embark on a journey of self-discovery.

My unquenched thirst to bring change goes beyond just the influence of existing organisations, but extends out to transforming the communities reached. My desire to see change has further aided in my quest to not only give hope to young individuals, but contribute towards the eradication of poverty among the youth of our country by providing a means to have youth become active contributors to society, “one neighbour at a time”.  I simply love the description mentioned on this platform: From one person to another. Speaking the same language already makes me part of this amazing platform of Change Makers SA.

My passion is to see young individuals developed through education and transformation. I am resilient, tenacious, persuasive, innovative, strategic and a clear leader with a passion for community development especially for young people who are our national asset from school level up to graduate level. It is hard to define who I am as a change maker and believe that should be seen from those who have been mentored, being in a journey of self-discovery with InqabaYokulinda.  I believe we have impacted positively beyond their intellectual level, transformed souls and left them in better knowledge of themselves. I believe that the actions of inspiring youth to dream more; learn more; do more and become more, has qualified them to take charge of their lives.  Beneficiaries that have walked with us understand self-love, self-worth but most importantly self-identity which has impacted positively in them believing in themselve and being agents of change wherever they go as they have been provided with selfless love and opportunities.

It is not about what we do but how we impact on people lives using wisdom from God and entrusting him in our journey as we can’t do anything without Him.

When I acknowledged and access the greatness God had put in me and when I realized what He had saved me from, I made a vow to God to never overlook another person at the crossroads of her life.

IRENE FITZI-GEORGE

COMMUNITY BUILDER OF THE YEAR 2018 | BUSINESS WOMEN OF THE YEAR AWARDS NPO WINNER - FOUNDER & CURRENT DIRECTOR OF THE  NPO BUILDING A FUTURE (BAF)

Irene in her own words: “I dearly thank Angelique du Toit for Nominating me; as one of South Africa’s Top 100 SA Difference Makers through the platform DMI-SA (Difference Makers Int. S.A.). It  broaden my mind not to think and focus on the people, places and development here and now that surrounds me. It opens my mind and heart to see, feel, hear and touch with others the world and not just a part. Being part of something that is not just present with you but present somewhere else with the same impact immediately elevates the level where you are at; being part of the Global Love & Change Movement is great. Angelique du Toit (link) I thank you so much for your interest and time to consider nominating me to be part of this platform. When I received a call from Julie B Steynberg, the Country Ambassador DMI-SA it was unexpected and very touching to me. After 23 years of community upliftment-work with a focus to empower children and youth, it means a lot to me to have the work recognised, (bolt) especially by such a distinguished and valued organization such as DMI-SA. I want to thank God for implanting the vision of DMI-SA in the heart of the vision carrier. It is so wonderful that DMI-SA is able to host a platform for Change Makers that work selflessly to change for the better. (Irene continues..)

Being Top 100 SA Difference Maker ignite a higher purpose within me; a feeling to inspire others to become Change Makers S.A. too.  As a Difference Maker, I know that my action is what converts human dreams into significance. It propels others to bring out their best and their unique gifts. Being a Difference Maker, helps me to connect with them, and create a platform for them to connect and recreate too. I love the Slogan of Difference Makers S.A.: I see us Standing Strong Together as Change Makers, being part of this amazing platform of Change Makers S.A., by looking to each other's interest and no longer each one looking to his own. Together as Change Makers we collectively and lovingly serving the world with our talents, gifts and grow in character. This is how we as Change Makers S.A. can help and expand each other's effort."

Irene believes:  John C Maxwell writes in his book titled The Power of a Leader:  Understanding can change the mind, but action changes lives. Working in community I have come to know how presence makes a difference. Individual attention opens their minds to be creative as the world needs them. This paves a way for them to make a difference in their family. When Nominated I was asked: My heart as Change Maker S.A.: I will establish an Educational Centre to assist primary school children to discover a deep desire to perform with excellence and have fun learning. Educatoin from a younger age that is introduced with excitement develops the mind to engage more readily. Many of our children get introduced at a later stage in life and then forced, so learning becomes difficult due to the manner they are introduced.

The Community writes: Samantha Blankenberg:
“Irene Fitzi-George has made a difference in the lives of the Barkly-West Community as well as in my own life. Through her efforts to uplift, empower, educate and promote the children, youth, women and senior members of this community she has enabled many to reclaim their dignity and rediscover hope for the future. Irene has been instrumental in uniting and healing a community of beautiful people and children in need of opportunity in a world that has overlooked them. She has assisted many on the road to achieving their dreams and opened doors to a future of hope. Without her and the family I have found at the centre, I would not be here today. It’s that simple and mine is just a “drop in the ocean” of testimonies of people whose lives have been touched by
this remarkable woman. I am forever grateful to her”.

Miriam Tlhobelo writes:
“Irene epitomise the pure qualities of a dedicated leader.  She has and still serves the people of Barkly West and some surrounding places with distinction.  Her ability to achieve so much with so little support from authorities has really made her stand out amongst her peers.  Irene is an asset to the entire Barkly-West community; she has proven beyond any doubt “The Ubuntu phenomenon”

CRESELDAH NDLOVU

SOCIAL ENTREPRENEUR | HUMANITTION AND COMMUNITY BUILDER | FOUNDER OF THE CEF FOUNDATION

At Creseldah Education we focus on the same values to give recognition and to show appreciation.  This is my 30th nomination, part of my recognitions, awards & accolades. All of this ignites in me to do more and to do better. I indeed am Changing Lives Making a Difference what DMI-SA stand for. I do what I do as a response to God’s is calling. I have realised that God has chosen me to be a solution to his children, not because I have much but only the love, unlocking doors for the needy children through me. Without “Love” it is difficult to serve.

Being born in a single parented family, raised by a domestic worker in an underprivileged environment, made me realize we have many children failed to achieve their dreams due these limits. I took a decision to be a voice to the voiceless. I know we have many women outside there doing great in changing lives of fellow human beings; hence, I am so humbled to be part of this great inspiring journey. To my nominee, Jayshree Padayatchey.  Thank you for this nomination!

I am the founder of Creseldah Educational Foundations. We have different programs (see the website for more). CEF’s vision is to eradicate poverty through education to the young future leaders. We believe that every child has a right to learn, despite their family backgrounds.
We currently make an impact on the lives of approximately 5000 young future leaders in regular basis. The foundation primary objective is educational support. The program that is very close to my heart too, is the ‘Girls Academy. The Girls Academy includes Teen Pregnancy Prevention and Teen Mothers Support through skills development.

MICHELLE WOEST

OWNER SILVER LINING TOMBSTONES |
CHANGE MAKER DMI-SA | AUTHOR IN WRITING

I am filled with gratitude and overwhelmed with excitement to have been nominated as a Top 100 SA Difference Makers.  How exciting! I feel honoured and in the same time humbled to be recognized for just living out my dream and purpose in life; to live a beautiful meaningful life, a life where I can inspire, aspire, motivate and serve humanity. I want to become a part of the Global Movement at @Difference Maker SA because I believe that the more you share your love with others, the more it grows. And serving others is the highest quality of love you will ever experience in your life. My purpose in life is to live a beautiful and meaningful life, solidified by faith and therefore it unlocks a way of being. I am a change maker (as it is strived for on this platform) because I wake up every day with the intent and purposefully look for opportunities to serve.
I will add value to DMI-SA because what of what they stand for and what they are fighting for is in relation with what I believe and stand for. I believe I am a Change Maker; thank you for this platform (DMI-SA) that gives me the recognition in what I love to do. I was involved with several projects, where my hand find something fit to do for others, I go there. Here is a list mentioning only a few projects I am involved with, just to show S.A. I love Changing Lives Making a Difference. (1) Poverty sucks  (2) Phyllis Roberson Home  (3) Imfundo Educare (Visit my website to see more).

I am an entrepreneur and have a successful business, Silver Lining Tombstones. As motivational speaker I love to uplift woman and relate to postpartum depression, Bipolar and psychosis, inspiring them to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am the co-founder and director of the Henry Bond Dystonia fund (this project is very dear to my heart and it has not lifted off as yet, but I will be putting more effort into getting it off the ground, as my grandfather and my uncle had this decease,  we know the pain and we want to create awareness and also help fund people with this disease's operations costs).  Our country is struggling tremendously with the lack of education, poverty, abuse and concerning crime rates and these factors are linked to each other, I believe with the right education, starting at a young age will have a great impact on fighting poverty and abuse or crime.  I can see myself working together with DMI-SA because of their vision and that is to bring the light back to South-Africa, a country where the crime rate is among the highest in the world, the unemployment figures are sky rocketing and the core of the problem revolves around the lack of education or opportunities for growth.  When the right education systems or training centres to create entrepreneurs and leaders are in place, opportunities will seize and this country will become what the DMI-SA are working hard to achieve.  I know I can contribute to making this change happen, my passion is to work with and teach people, it all transcends back to values and beliefs, which are formed at a very young age.  When we work together to give children of poverty the chance to get educated in the right manner and giving them a promising future with hope, education and love, we will achieve great heights.  I am at this very moment busy writing my first book on Inspirational and Spiritual well being; it will be published in 2020.
I am a difference maker, because I apply myself daily to aspire, inspire, motivate and to make a difference in others lives. I am passionate about teaching others to be kind, to be givers, to succeed in life and to serve.
Question DMI-SA: “What would you do if you get R1Mil to change others lives?”
Michelle answers:  “I would set up a teaching school for everyone who wishes to excel to excellence in spirit, mind, body and soul.  I believe that the old saying, be the change you want to see in this world.  It all begins with you, using your pain to leverage pleasure, helping all people of different walks in life, we all have a story, we all have been through some or many painful experiences, by healing oneself you are then ready to spread the love and cheer.  I will teach others to purposefully and intentionally seek opportunities to serve other.  Serving others is the highest quality of love anyone will ever experience in their lives.  Making a difference is not by the size of the act, but more importantly the impact and change it brings.

MARINA PRINSLOO

MRS. PRETORIA/TSHWANE 2018/2019 | MAJOR SHAREHOLDER & FOUNDER AND MD SA.INT. TICIA GROUP | IMAGE CONSULTANT | PRESIDENT APICSA | MD BODY CONFIDENCE INT. PTY | CO-AUTHOR IMAGE MATTERS

Marina Prinsloo Top 100 SA Difference Maker writes in her own words: “I am humbled by this nomination. I am a behind the scenes girl normally.  Seeing where there is a need and trying to fill it.  Last year has changed that to push me into the spotlight. My passion is women and children, uplifting & empowering them to become the best they can be.  I found that my chosen career gave me that platform, where I was able to connect with women from all walks of life, touching their souls, their thoughts and futures.  And also importantly at the same time empowering my chosen career industry to attain international ethics and standards and fighting for it to be recognized in our own country as a worthy qualified career, this happened now in Feb 2019. “Making a change starts with you (us), don’t expect others to do what you are not prepared to do.”

Country Ambassador DMI-SA, Julie B Steynberg inspires: “Congratulations to Marina Prinsloo as one of the newest Top 100 SA Difference Makers on the platform for Change Makers S.A. since 2013. Marina’s lifelong interest in helping others to achieve their maximum potential is noticed. I have met her in person, did a Blue Ribbon Ceremony with her, saying: ‘Who you are Marina makes a difference’. From my own personal experience I can say, it is pure pleasure to be in her presence, she has a helping caring & loving heart and most definitely gives her best when she said ‘yes’.  Never underestimate someone by her crown or sash, this remarkable woman’s beauty shines from within and leaves everyone she meets with a gentleness and kindness being in her presence. I can understand why she was crowned, she absolutely deserve the title to be crowned Mrs. Pretoria/Tshwane 2019 where she has an ambassadorial role to promote the City of Pretoria – Tshwane nationally and internationally”.

Marina believes and as coach teaches: Image Matters! These are the facts: 55% accounts for your non-verbal IMAGE 38% accounts for the tone of your voice 7% accounts for WHAT you say. Image directly impacts the way that we and the world perceive us. A clear outer identity that is aligned with our personal qualities and skills will positively affect our interactions with others. Self-confidence, personal effectiveness and our ability to deal with change are greatly empowered by the awareness and mastery of personal communication tools. Let us use them and make dreams happen.

Marina received the Standard Bank Women in Business Nominee 2017 for best trainer and her company TICIA was voted best Corporate Image Consultancy in Africa. Here are more links available to read about Marina Prinsloo, a Change Maker in a million on board of this platform. I am excited to see what more will come from this remarkable ‘energized with love’ woman of worth.

LOUISE AUERSPERG

CHAIR PERSON AND SWIM COACH OF
ADOPT A SWIMMER

Louise Auersperg has been actively involved with children for 30 years; youth camps, pastoral, counselling, teaching and child therapy.  As a teacher in Plettenberg Bay, she commenced teaching school swimming classes eventually as a full time passion.

Louise’s passionate love for the outdoors has led to her many activities such as hiking, swimming, deep sea fishing, canoeing and many more. This includes a 3 days survival expedition on a canoe. In her capacity as a swimming coach of Plettenberg Bay Aquatics, and co-founder of the Adopt a swimmer NGO she has completed her L.T.S. level one coaching and is also trained in CPR and First Aid level 1. She also has experience in trauma and hospice counselling.

Our Mandate: No child should drown. All children must be given the opportunity to develop the essential life skill of swimming.
Our Drive: All children, no matter their circumstances or limits, can overcome their fear of water.
Our Goal: Teaching every child to be water safe and in the process, tackling life with integrity.

Myself and my husband Peter Auersperg, launched adopt a swimmer in 2010 with two students.  After realizing that 80% of the youth in Plettenberg Bay can't swim.  It broke our hearts sitting on the beach watching children who could not swim and enjoy the water like others. “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much”. (Helen Keller).

Both of us have been actively involved with children for past 30 years using the talents God gave us to enrich their lives and bring change.  To date we have had over 500 kids go through our program. Other than swimming they have learned to surf, participate at Nationals at Nippers and four of them are now employed qualified life savers.

World renowned John McCarthy, has been coming down for the past four years, sponsored by Sasfin, to teach the children breath control.

I am humbled and privileged to share a gift God has given me to enrich children's lives and learned so much from them.  I encourage every South African to share with those who do not have opportunities.  Together we can make a difference.

I want to dedicate this award to those who have made a difference in my life and honor my son, Alexander Auersperg, a senior lifesaver and other volunteers for their dedication to the children.

CINDY NORCOTT

FOUNDER/CHAIRPERSON: THE ROBIN HOOD FOUNDATION |
MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER | AUTHOR | ENTREPRENEUR | BUSINESS COACH | PHILANTHROPIST | OWNER/MANAGER PRO APPOINTMENTS AND PRO TALENT

Owner/Country Ambassador, Difference Makers S.A. Julie B Steynberg “It is with great honour that I introduce to the people of S.A. this remarkable young woman with a heart of gold. She had a dream; she never gave up on her dream, and indefinitely is she Changing Lives Making a difference in her community and in the work place. Cindy is a Change Maker one in a million; it is such a privilege to have her on board as Top 100 S.A. Difference Maker”.

Cindy Norcott: “I am a businesswoman and I have been blessed to run a successful recruitment agency for the past 25 years. I used to think that one day I would like to make a difference. In 2015, when my second daughter was born, I realised that she had 84 baby grows so I decided to start a community project called Love the Babies where I could get my friends to donate their pre-loved baby clothes and then we could distribute bags of second hand baby clothing and supplies to new mums from disadvantaged communities. These bags would be called Love the babies bags. We were very well supported and soon I decided to help the poor Black grannies burdened with the responsibility of caring for their poor grandchildren.

I started a project called Gogo bags where we made up bags of staple food items for these poor grannies. Soon thereafter, I formed an NPO called the Robin Hood Foundation and as our name suggests, we take from the rich and give to the poor. We focus on a variety of projects and each year, we have more than 100 community projects. One of our biggest projects is Bless a Granny where we visit more than 3000 senior citizens in Tafta old age homes and we give them gifts that are on their Christmas wish list as well as host a party with eats and entertainment and a group of volunteers to spend time with them.

Another project is Hope breakfasts where we invite school children from poor communities and we host a party for them and give them school uniforms, school shoes and stationery as well as toiletries and food. We also host parties every year at four schools for disabled children. We have also built two crèches, built a house for a gogo and refurbished a primary school. We have hosted three free entrepreneurial conferences for more than 2000 delegates. Our focus is to be unstructured opportunists who look for ways in which we can make a difference to the lives of the poorest members of society”.

JACI TIBBIT

Business owner | Mrs. Johannesburg 2016 |
Margaret Hirsch's Women in Business Achiever of the Year Fourways  |  Mrs. Mzantzi Africa 2018 | Mrs. Africa Humanity 2018

I am grateful, humbled and excited to be part of this inspiring Global Movement DMI-SA now in S.A. too since 1983 that was started by Julie B Steynberg. Their slogan to help spread the message of love and appreciation resonates with me. Thank you so much Julie Steynberg for creating this movement in South Africa I am proud to be part of the Change Makers SA platform, being nominated. The Change Makers S.A. platform believes in:  Standing Strong Together, I see and feel the dream, because together we can do this! I believe together as a team we can make the dream work and together we can do so much more for our beautiful country – giving hope, love and continuously giving back and helping others. I am grateful, humbled and excited to be nominated to be a Top 100 SA Difference Maker and to be part of this inspiring Global Movement to give back and share the love.  I gladly thank the Country Ambassador, Julie for starting this initiative. This nomination is a game changer for me indeed. More importantly thank you for making a difference in the lives of the many South Africans who truly are Change Makers, by providing this platform.

I do believe that there are three types of people in the world: Followers, leaders & influencers. I am an influencer, a game changer, a nurturer, a catalyst, a change agent and a difference maker. I try to live in such a way that I propagate change in people’s beliefs. I absolutely adore this platform, what they stand for is what I stand firm for too: Be the change that you want in this world. Love and appreciation (the love-actions so beautifully demonstrated on the platform DMI-SA) is my favourite. I do believe that the world thrives on love and appreciation. This is the one thing that people crave; this is the one thing that makes people react in a more positive way. I want to make people feel safe and cared for, this is my motto. I have spent countless times visiting impoverished communities – spending time with our children that are in great need of our guidance, our influences, our love and our support. We need to give them the tools required to become human beings who can replicate love towards others.

The gift in serving others leaves another feeling good about themselves and once a person feels good about themselves they will treat other people in the same manor. Even the smallest gestures of kindness can bring happiness and joy to another human being.

My passion in life is to be a fearless role model, give hope, love, continuously give back, help others and always be a blessing to someone and positively impact and empower children and people in disadvantaged communities as well as mentoring and giving talks and advice to women to inspire, encourage and motivate them to be the best version of themselves. I am very passionate to uplift, empower impoverished communities in South Africa. I head the Poverty Sucks campaign; the focus is by creating awareness and support for the plight of those living in impoverished circumstances.
