I am an ordinary woman who sincerely believes that every person is created for a special, unique purpose and possesses unlimited potential to make a real difference in his or her home and broader community. Thank you Julie B Steynberg, the Executive Director for Difference Makers SA, for the nomination and allowing me this opportunity and platform to contribute in Changing Lives Making a difference. Thank you for taking the faith by providing to us here in S.A. an entity as valuable and as loveable as this. I humbly say thank you, I am honoured. I am so glad to be introduced to DMI-SA. I love the idea of the Blue Ribbon to Pay the Love forward. I am deeply touched, I wish you well and I wish you all the blessing with DMI-SA. I already feel like part of the family here at DMI-SA. I founded the The Reinhardt Drewel Foundation SA (RDF SA)in 2015. Reinhardt Drewel tragically drowned in February 2015 in his family pool at the age of 3 years. The impact when a child drowns or is disabled due to non-fatal drowning is immense. Preventable fatalities can leave families with permanent emotional scars and hospitalisation can leave children with damage so severe they need life-long care. RDF SA is South Africa’s first registered NPC (2016/068951/08) targeting National Drowning Prevention Awareness & Campaigns, Education Programmes and the only Charity in South Africa that supports children disabled by non-fatal (near) drowning or other associated Cerebral Hypoxic injury. RDF SA recently entered into Medical Partnership with ER24 EMS Pty Ltd and has Drowning Prevention Associated Membership with Lifesaving South Africa. Find out More... |
