to live that dream, is to live your Purpose” – Julie B Steynberg |
My name is Julie B Steynberg. Qualified trainer for the Global Training Program: Standing Strong Together, then was awarded as the Country Ambassador for DMI-SA. (Difference Makers Int. S.A.). Julie is the Founder (CEO) for DMI-SA a Change Makers platform uniting change makers in South African and Africa. Listing only a few qualities & talents: she is Coach, International Certified Trainer, Motivational & Inspirational speaker, co-writer for the Finesse Magazine, Radio presenter & Key-note speaker for several organizations impacting lives. Your Destiny will find you. I thrive to duplicate myself, impacting S.A. with love and appreciation.
When I was nominated as Phenomenal African Woman I was asked WHAT FUELS ME, I then said: I thrive on Hope; Truth, Grace & Love. Love Heals, Unconditional Love sets you free to be the Real person you were born to become. I am tenacious and have a lot of determination. Youth is my second name – I am a woman of strong faith. I have learned to put God first in all I do and I believe that with God, nothing is impossible, He make all things possible. I believe life is a gift to us given here on earth. Life Is great. I want to live my life to the best I can, I thrive to find my purpose in all I do. I believe true identity is found when you had found the one person you can live with for the rest of your life, in abundance, where there is peace and purpose. Achievements:
- Best Citizen Award from the Mayor of Town 1994 - Community Award (Westonaria, Northwest)
- Phenominal African Women Award 2015
- Woman on the Year Award - Woman of Substance - Community Award 2016
- I was appointed by Sun International as one of the 5 selected scouts for the Miss. South Africa competition Since 2010;
- I was appointed as main judge of several national pageants S.A;
- Have talked on 5 different radio shows over the years & 4 different TV shows
- Honourable member of the Business Woman’s Forum. I was awarded the prize as Best chairperson of the Year nationally for greatness and growth in the area that I managed as Chairperson.
- I was the principle/owner and trainer of several modelling schools for 18 years.
- History was made - I am the first woman who founded and organized a Youth Leadership project in schools in the city of SA – with invitation rights to have seats in Youth Parliament. Have done this for 2 years with the privilege to have a voice to speak in Youth Parliament – this was a Leadership project in Secondary schools in Tshwane (Pretoria).
- I have met and worked with great people, such as the Executive Mayor of Polokwane; the first Lady of Limpopo; the Speaker of National Assembly; three crowned Miss. S.A.’s; the Minister of Education in Gauteng 2015, Panyaza Lesufi; the editor of the National Rooi Rose magazine; the editor of another national magazine Finesse. I was on stage speaking to 1000 people and on platforms speaking to 30 people. I do belief that the best yet has to come. Many more..
Service is the rent we pay for the privilege of living on this planet earth. I adore working with, serving and giving more of myself to people. There is so much more to learn from life, so much more to enjoy and so much more to give. More than ever I wanted to give my all and live my all. This was my second journey of big change. I started to realize how easy it is to forgive, how many times I need to forgive (70 x 7 times) is not enough. We are human beings who makes mistakes. We need to be fast to forgive, also to learn to forgive ourselves.
There are much more to learn from experience than from absence. When you look at my background profile you would think that I lived a lifetime and how did I fit everything in my schedules, how did I raise three sons as a single mom most of the time. I did. I wanted to do more, find more, explore more and through it all I wanted to find the real ‘me’ in it all.
Jealousy and envy take you nowhere, it only keeps you busy in a cycle of insecurity and unworthiness. Life happens, this will never end. Be strong, be courageous.
The People's Voice
“Ignite What’s Right!” That was the slogan that captured my attention and awareness of Difference Makers International. To hear that 44 million people worldwide had their lives impacted in under a minute by being honoured with a beautiful blue ribbon embossed with gold with the words, “Who I am makes a difference”, really sold me on the idea of accepting the nomination by Julie Steynberg to be a Difference Maker in South Africa. To make the Top 100 Difference Makers in South Africa has been a wonderful opportunity to “Pay the Love Forward” into the lives of other people that I meet on a daily basis. It takes a minute or less to acknowledge someone else’s gifts, talents, abilities – who they are really – and to award them a Blue Ribbon of recognition.
Julie Steynberg’s passion and commitment to Difference Makers International and getting the movement going here in South Africa has made all the difference. Her eyes light up and shine when she talks about Difference Makers and indeed the difference it is making in South Africa.
Just imagine if every South African made the commitment every day, to acknowledge and to recognise just one other person for who they are and for their contribution to their company, community or country? South Africa would be a profoundly different place with energised, caring, connected citizens who are committed to making a difference. It is absolutely possible with Difference Makers!

Julie, I find it difficult to find the right words....
You have been my friend for over 20 years now, we are best friends, so I would know more about you than anyone else.... When I read your profile, I again see and remember who you are. You are my best friend, a normal kind, loving best friend, you are a granny, a mother, and a loving wife too, when I read your profile over and over again, I just know and am reminded that you are an amazing woman of influence, a woman who had been there and done it.... You are such a kind, honest, humble person and to read this about you, make me realize why we are friends for so long, you are like a fresh breeze of soft wind in my life.
This Is you, you are a difference maker, in my eyes you are a winner and I am proud to say, I am your friend.

"What an amazing, truly inspirational women!” was my thoughts after I met Julie. She came to me to award me with the Blue Ribbon for my book : “Change your thinking and be Healthy. She told me her life story and said that she was inspired to be a cancer survivor after she read the book.
She is a go-getter who work with integrity and search for the truth by which she is guided. She is absolutely positive in her al day interactions and can turn any situation into a growth process. She is a super woman needed in today’s world where positive transformational processes are of utmost importance! She hold no judgement or discrimination against anyone on earth and are able to listen with compassion in any situation.
It is an honour to know Julie and work with her!
Kind Regards
